Péter András Kara has joined the Wireless Multimedia and Networking Research Group (WMN) as a research associate in the School of Computing and Information Systems at Kingston University. Before coming to KU, he was researching for 2 years at the Department of Networked Systems and Services (HIT), at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), after finishing the M.Sc. course in Computer Engineering. Both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. thesis was written in the topic of Quality of Experience, at the same department and university. He performed the majority of his prior researches at the Mobile Communications and Quantum Technologies Laboratory (MCL), focusing on assessment distortions in the subjective evaluation of multimedia quality. Peter also took part in the CONCERTO (Content and cOntext aware delivery for iNteraCtive multimedia healthcaRe applications) project of the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme. His current research topics mainly address the perception of streaming multimedia.
